Te āhua o Te Tūrunga - The nature of the position
We are looking for an experienced Market Development Manager based in Tokyo to join our team.
Reporting to the Regional Director Asia (excl China), this full-time, permanent role will be responsible for maintaining and establishing business networks and partnerships including governments, education providers, education agents, media, students and alumni. You will also identify and deliver opportunities that benefit New Zealand's international education sector and support promotional activities in market.

To be successful in this role you will have:
- Business development experience with particular emphasis on working in international and commercial environments
- A sound understanding of government process
- Demonstrated excellent writing and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to network, build and maintain effective relationships with government partners, the education sector and international organisations
- Flexibility to travel
- Fluency in Japanese and English (oral and written)
- Ability to legally live and work in Japan
